Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 grated garlic
- Fresh chopped coriander for garnish
- Cooking oil or ghee for cooking
Method:
- Add the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and mix well in a bowl.
- After that add the plain yogurt and melted butter and mix until the dough starts to come together.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too wet, you can add a little bit more flour.
- Cover the dough leave for at least 30 minutes. This helps to makes the softer naan.
- Divide the dough into small ball-sized after resting.
- Roll all portion into a thin and oval shape.
- Add greated garlic with melted butter in a small bowl. Brush this mixture onto one side of the rolled naan.
- Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame. Place the brushed side of the naan down on the hot pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Flip the naan and cook the other side for an another 1-2 minutes or until golden brown spots appear.
- Brush with a little more melted butter, and sprinkle with chopped coriander and remove from the pan.
- Serve your hot garlic naan with your favorite curry.
