Ingredients:

For the Samosa Dough:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup lukewarm water

For the Samosa Filling:

  • 2 large boiled, peeled, and diced potatoes
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves

Method:

prepare the Samosa Dough:

  • Add the Maida, pinch of salt, oil in mixing bowl.
  • Add lukewarm water and knead the dough until it’s smooth and soft.
  • Cover the dough and leave it for 20-30 minutes.

Prepare the Samosa Filling:

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan on medium flame.
  • Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and fry.
  • Add the turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala in a pan.
  • Add the boiled potatoes and frozen peas. Mix well.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, until the peas are cooked.
  • Add salt and fresh coriander leaves. Mix and remove from heat.

Making for samosa:

  • Divide the dough into equal parts and make it smooth balls .
  • Roll all the balls in oval shape, about 6 inches in length.
  • Cut each dough into two equal shape, creating two semi-circles.
  • Take one semi-circle and give it the cone shape.
  • Fill the cone with the prepared potato filling.

  • Heat oil in a deep pan for frying. if the oil is hot, fry the samosa on medium flame until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the samosas using a slotted spoon.
  • Serve hot with tamarind, mint chutney, or your favorite sauce.
