Special Paneer Tikka

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup yogurt ( curd)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Capsicum, onions, and tomatoes, cut into cubes (for skewering)
  • Chaat masala (for garnish)
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for serving)

Method:

  • Add yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix well to make a marinade.
  • Add paneer cubes and gently coat them with the mixture. Leave it for marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for about 15 minutes to prevent them from burning.
  • Thread the marinated paneer cubes, capsicum, onions, and tomatoes onto the skewers, alternating between the ingredients.
  • Brush the skewers with oil to prevent sticking and place them on the grill or in the oven.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer and vegetables are lightly charred and cooked through.
  • Remove the skewers from the heat and sprinkle them with chaat masala and chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve the paneer tikka hot with lemon slices on the side.
